FALLSTON CLUB BOARD OF DIRECTORS’ NOMINEES
Jimmy Benton
My name is Jimmy Benton, and I am excited to be considered for the Fallston Swim Club Board of Directors.
While my family has only been members of the club for the past two summers, it has quickly become one of our favorite places to spend time together. Within 30 seconds of walking through the gate for the first time, we realized the club is not just a pool, it’s a community. Through the club, we’ve built friendships with many families we originally met through our children’s school and sports activities, and we’ve formed plenty of new connections along the way.
Our daughters have become involved with the swim team, and my wife has volunteered at swim meets. Many nights and weekends, you can find us at the pool enjoying everything the club has to offer. Whether we’re attending a social event, cheering on the swim team, or simply spending time with friends and family, the club has become a big part of our summers.
Professionally, I’ve spent nearly 20 years in the commercial construction industry and currently serve as Director of National Construction for a large industrial real estate company. My role involves capital planning, budgeting, and coordinating projects across the country, which has helped me develop strong organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills. I enjoy bringing people together, coordinating efforts, and turning ideas into successful projects and events.
As someone who has enjoyed so many of the club’s activities and social events with my family, I would welcome the opportunity to give back and help continue building the fun, family-oriented atmosphere that makes Fallston Swim Club such a special part of our community.
Steve Riegger
I’ve been a member of the Fallston Club since 2020 and have been proud to serve on the Board since 2024. I’m excited to run for reelection and continue giving my time, experience, and energy to a Club that has become such an important part of our family and our community.
Since joining the Board, I’ve made it a priority to get involved and make an impact wherever I can. This year, as the Fallston Club’s Social Media and Communications Chair, I’ve taken the lead on the Club’s social media, helping keep members informed, connected, and engaged with everything happening throughout the Club. I also helped organize and run the Fishing Derby and make it a priority to be present and involved at as many Fallston Club events as possible.
Beyond events and communications, I’ve also worked to identify opportunities to reduce costs, improve efficiency, and make the most of the Club’s resources. I’m proud that I’ve been able to make a meaningful impact in a relatively short time, and I want to continue building on that momentum.
For me, being on the Board is about more than attending meetings. It’s about showing up, getting involved, listening to members, and being willing to pitch in wherever I can. I’ve really enjoyed being part of the events and traditions that bring our members and families together, and I want to continue helping create the kind of community that keeps people coming back.
Outside of the Fallston Club, I volunteer as a youth soccer and baseball coach and enjoy giving back to the local community and creating positive experiences for kids both on and off the field.
Professionally, I bring more than 13 years of property management experience, with a background in operations, budgeting, maintenance, capital improvements, vendor management, and overseeing large residential portfolios. That experience has given me a practical, business-minded perspective that I bring to the Board, particularly when it comes to managing resources, improving operations, and finding ways to get more value for our members.
If reelected, I want to continue building on the impact I’ve already made and remain a Board member who is present, involved, and willing to do the work. I want to help keep members informed, support the events and traditions that make the Club special, find opportunities to operate more efficiently, and help the Fallston Club continue moving forward while maintaining the sense of community that makes it unique.
I’m proud of what I’ve been able to contribute so far, and I’d be honored to have your vote to continue serving the members of the Fallston Club.
Taylor Wood
My name is Taylor Brown Wood, and my family and I have been members of The Fallston Club since 2022.
My connection to the club runs much deeper, however, as my parents first became members in 1996 after both working as lifeguards at the club during their teenage years.
Growing up, my sisters and I spent countless summers at The Fallston Club as members of the swim team, creating memories and friendships that have lasted a lifetime. I later had the privilege of serving the club for eight years as a lifeguard, supervisor, and assistant manager. My involvement also extended to the Fallston Fins swim team, where I served as an assistant coach for five years and head coach for three summers.
A 2007 graduate of Fallston High School, I went on to compete as an NCAA Division I swimmer at Marshall University in West Virginia. I graduated in 2012 with a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Care and spent 13 years working in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit at Johns Hopkins Hospital. In September 2025, I transitioned to WellSpan York Hospital, where I now serve as Manager of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program. My husband, CJ, is also a Marshall graduate and currently works for the Department of Defense at Aberdeen Proving Ground. Together, we have called Harford County home for the past 14 years, including the last six years here in Fallston.
After joining the board in 2022, I have dedicated my time to numerous initiatives, including beautification projects and social events such as the Ice Cream Social and Family Movie Nights. In January 2024, I expanded my involvement by joining the Executive Board as Secretary, a position I continue to hold today.
My son, Remington (7), joined the swim team in 2024, with my daughter, Wellesley (5), following in 2025.
Since 2024, I have served as Swim Team Liaison to the Board and as The Fallston Club’s representative to the Harford Swim League. I have also helped coordinate the swim team concession stand for the past two seasons.
It is incredibly important to me that Remy and Wellsie have the same opportunities to grow, play, learn, and build lifelong friendships at The Fallston Club that my sisters and I enjoyed. I would be honored to continue serving on the Board of Directors and look forward to helping ensure that The Fallston Club remains a thriving, welcoming, and family-centered community for generations to come.
Amy Cooper
My husband, son and I have been members since we moved to the Fallston area in 2018. We joined to make friends in our new town and that objective has been achieved!
Professionally, I am the Vice President of Asset Management for Kimco Realty, one of the largest owners and operators of high-quality, open-air, grocery-anchored shopping centers and mixed-use properties in the United States. Though the job of Asset Management is sometimes difficult to define, my day is filled with making decisions to improve the value for 600 properties across the country. This can include dealing with retail tenants, negotiating monetary settlements, collaborating with other departments, or even picking out furniture for an apartment rooftop deck.
In summary, my family and I love coming to the Fallston Swim Club every summer and though I don’t think anything needs to change I’d be happy to serve on the Board to assist with any decisions.
Justin Halligan
My name is Justin Halligan, and for more than five years, my family and I have been proud members of Fallston Club. What started as a place to spend summer days has become so much more: a place where our daughter makes memories, neighbors become friends, and our community comes together.
If you’ve spent much time around Fallston Club, you’ve probably seen me there. I attend nearly every Fallston Club event, stay active in the community, and can often be found on the beach volleyball court rounding up a game on Sunday afternoons. Fallston Club has become a big part of our family’s life, and I’m running for the Board of Directors because I want to help give back to the community we’ve come to love.
Professionally, I bring experience in leadership, operations, and problem-solving. In my current public service role, I manage teams, oversee day-to-day operations, and tackle whatever challenges come through the door. I also spent more than five years managing food service operations, giving me hands-on experience with budgets, vendors, inventory, efficiency, and, most importantly, keeping people happy.
