Member Update: 250th Anniversary & Fireworks Celebration Reminders

Dear Fallston Club Members,

I cannot believe we are just a few days away from celebrating our nation’s 250th anniversary—the Semi quincentennial—on Saturday, June 27th! This milestone year is shaping up to be the most spectacular celebration and fireworks display our club has ever hosted.

Please note that this day is strictly for members only so that all our club families can comfortably enjoy the facilities; absolutely no guests or guest passes will be permitted. We will allow guests on July 4th.

Please take a moment to carefully review these critical reminders before you arrive:

  • No Personal Fireworks or Sparklers: For safety reasons, fireworks of any kind are strictly prohibited on club grounds. This includes sparklers; dropped sparklers leave burning-hot metal wire in the grass, which poses a severe danger to children running around on bare feet.
  • Parking Restrictions & Adjustments: Our lifeguards and staff will be stationed to assist with orderly parking in the front field. There will be absolutely no parking permitted in the back field, near the clay courts, or by the dumpsters, as this entire zone is the designated secure launch area where the professional fireworks display will be set up.

 

  • Field Parking and Disc Golf: Please follow staff instructions on where to park in the field. No Disc Golf on holes 6-9.
  • Viewing Area: All members must be behind the volleyball court to view the fireworks.
  • Pool Closures & Timeline: All pools will officially close for swimming and lifeguards will go off duty at 8:30 PM. The fireworks show is scheduled to begin at approximately 9:00 PM.
  • Food Trucks: To assist our concessions on what is sure to be a busy day, we will have the O’Dell’s All American Concessions and Smoke-N-Wheels BBQ food trucks.
  • Strict No-Glass Policy: To prevent dangerous accidents on the pool deck and grounds, no glassware of any kind is permitted. This includes glass crockpots, condiment bottles, casserole dishes, and dip jars. Please ensure all food and beverage servers are plastic.
  • Table Etiquette: Out of respect for your fellow members, saving tables ahead of time or claiming multiple tables for a single group is not permitted. Space will be at a premium, so please only use what your immediate family needs.
