Fallston Club Nominees
Todd Abicht
My name is Todd Abicht and I have been a member of Fallston Club for five years. It has been a pleasure watching my family grow over the summers while building meaningful friendships with other members at the pool. I hope to be able to give back to Fallston Club through serving on its board.
I have been a financial executive for nearly twenty years with many local community-based healthcare practices including Katzen Eye Group, Levin Eyecare, and Righttime Medical Care. The foundation of success at these organizations began with culture, fostering environments of positive team engagement which inevitably led to positive patient experiences. Outside of driving cultural improvements, I am adept at financial modeling, risk management, resource planning, taxation, and financial reporting that can assist Fallston Club in achieving its ultimate goal – sustainable and member-oriented engagement.
I hope that my skill set can continue and build upon the sterling reputation that Fallston Club has created in driving meaningful experiences for the community.
Nathan Badowski
Nate has lived in the Red Pump area of Bel Air with his wife, Caitlin, and three children, Laura (15), Gavin (13) and Paul (11), and puppy Holly since 2013. Nate is a lifelong swimmer, having competed for the Goucher Men’s Swim Team from 1996 to 2000. The Badowski family joined the Fallston Club in 2020, as Nate wanted to share his love of summer swimming with his kids. The whole family is deeply involved with the Fallston Fins swim team, where Nate serves as a meet official and starter. When he’s not in the Officials’ white polo and blue shorts, you may recognize Nate for his crazy and colorful shirts!
Nate is a Certified Financial Planner for Winters Run Financial Planning in association with Prudential Financial. He enjoys helping friends and clients realize their life and financial goals. When not at the club he likes traveling with his family and music festivals with his friends. The club is very much a home away from home for him and he looks forward to helping make the Fallston Club the best it can be!
Ryan Behnken
My name is Ryan Behnken, and I have been sitting on the Board for 6 years now. My kids are still young, and we enjoy the Club very much I am running again because I enjoy being a part of this team and I still have work to do in my role.
I am currently Treasurer for the Club and Co-Chair of our HR Committee. To name a few projects I’ve been a part of since joining: I’ve spearheaded this summer’s Small Biz Pop-Up event for our small business owner members now 3 years running, and I oversee our HR sub-committee which was created to hire our existing Assistant Manager/General Manager Team & add some structure to our growing team.
Justin Halligan
My name is Justin Halligan, and my family and I have been proud members of the Fallston Swim & Tennis Club for over five years. In that time, this club has become more than just a place to play volleyball or spend summer afternoons, it’s become part of our community and a place where lasting connections are made.
I’m deeply invested in making sure the club continues to grow and thrive. In my role as an SRT Member at Mountain Christian Church, I’ve learned the importance of stepping up, working hard, and serving with integrity. Those same values are what I’ll bring to the Board.
The club has made some impressive improvements in recent years, and I want to help build on that momentum. My goal is to keep Fallston Swim & Tennis a place where families feel welcome, friendships are made, and our community continues to come together. If elected, I’ll be committed to listening, collaborating, and doing the work it takes to make our club the best it can be.
Garner Leidy
The Leidy family—Garner, his wife Lynne, and their three children Morgan, Skylar, and Jackson—has called Fallston home for nearly three decades. Since joining the Fallston Swim Club in 2008, they’ve become deeply woven into the fabric of the community.
Their children have grown into accomplished young adults while maintaining strong ties to Fallston. Jackson, now a freshman at Frostburg University, previously coached the Fallston girls’ lacrosse team and currently works part-time at Wawa. Skylar is pursuing her nursing degree as a junior in Towson University’s program at the Harford campus, where she balances her studies with part-time work at Stonewall Daycare. She also dedicated three years to coaching Fallston girls’ lacrosse. Morgan recently graduated from Towson University with a criminology degree and is working at Wawa while pursuing her career aspirations.
Lynne serves as Manager of Communications for Johns Hopkins Health Plans and has demonstrated her commitment to community service through her leadership roles, including her tenure as President of the Youth’s Benefit Educational Foundation and her work managing the Fallston High School PTSA website.
As VP of PrePress and Design at Ironmark, a marketing and printing company, Garner brings his professional expertise to numerous volunteer endeavors. He currently serves on the Fallston Girls Lacrosse Board and has coached for eight years, while also organizing the popular Bonfire event for the Beach Lax tournament for seven consecutive years. His hands-on approach to community involvement is evident in his various projects at the swim club, from helping construct the volleyball pavilion to installing disc golf equipment, returfing the gaga pit and painting speed bumps.
Perhaps most beloved is Garner’s tradition of preparing fresh sushi at the pool for anyone looking for a delicious snack—a gesture that perfectly captures his generous spirit and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.
For the Leidys, the Fallston Swim Club represents more than just a recreational facility; it’s been the backdrop for family memories and community connections that span over a decade, with many more years of involvement ahead.
Jamie Myers
It has been an honor to serve as President of the Fallston Club this past year. My goal has been to put standard operating procedures in place, so the club runs at a consistently exceptional level for the enjoyment of all members and guests. That has meant working throughout the year to keep our costs down, being ready for opening and buttoning up at the end of the season, addressing issues as they come up, holding staff accountable, and responding to member concerns. A major highlight for me has been meeting so many members and helping to create the best possible experience for all of us.
My family and I are proud to call the Fallston Club home. Janine and I, along with our kids, Jake and Jessica, have been members since moving to Bel Air in 2019. The kids are active with the Fallston Fins, and we support the team in a variety of ways, including selling apparel. What makes me especially proud is seeing how invested they’ve become in the club themselves—Jake now serves as a lifeguard, and Jessica will be able to get around those pesky child labor laws and join the staff next season.
Serving on the board has been a rewarding experience, and I would be humbled and grateful for your vote to continue serving and giving back to the Fallston Club.
Gina O’Brien
Gina, her husband, Bob, and their children Claire and Jack, have been members of the Fallston Club for 12+ years. Both children are very active in the community with sports. Claire has worked for the Fallston Club in the Sink or Swim Concessions for 3 years and joined the Lifeguard team this past summer. Claire swims for The Fallston Club and also for her high school and Jack plays football for the Fallston Cougars Rec, Fallston Basketball, and is a member of the US Elite Baseball team.
Gina has been a resident of Harford County since 1986 and graduated from C. Milton Wright High School. She has worked for Kelly Benefits in Sparks for over 24 years in a variety of positions and is currently an Account Manager for the Kelly Benefits Strategies team. When not enjoying weekends at The Fallston Club, or on a sideline rooting for her kids, Gina also volunteers on the Parent Association Board at Notre Dame Preparatory School where her daughter attends high school. With a passion for having fun and socializing, Gina is looking forward to continuing the board for her 4th term and serving as the Social Chair at The Fallston Club.
Stephen Shelley
My wife Gina, our son Cooper, and I joined Fallston Club this past summer. As 13-year residents of Fallston, we love being part of this vibrant community—whether it’s food truck nights at the fire house or school events, we’re always involved.
We’ve thoroughly enjoyed the club’s amenities and activities, and I’m eager to contribute by helping plan and host future events. Professionally, I serve as the Planning & Design Supervisor for Comcast’s Beltway Region, where I have extensive experience in organizing and executing complex initiatives.
Additionally, I sit on the Board of Directors for Maryland Miss Utility, a role that has expanded my network and enhanced my leadership and collaboration skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family and supporting Cooper in his sports—soccer, baseball, and basketball.
Brandon Wagner
My name is Brandon Wagner and I’d like to throw myself in the ring for a potential position on the Board. I’ve lived in Fallston for the last 10 years. Now that my wife and I have two young children, we joined the Fallston Club this past summer as conditional members. As true stock members for the 2026 season, we are looking forward to May to restart the wonderful times we had over the last few months.
As for talents, speaking as a new member, I believe I have a lot of great ideas to increase the potential for the Club. I can bring a fresh perspective by having only one season under my belt. With the outlook of being members for the next couple decades, I hold a desire to make the Club the best place it can be.
I also possess 10 years of successful project management experience, balancing budgets, people, schedules, facilities and other resources. I believe this is the same type of mindset required for a Board seat in that all factors must be deliberated. By bringing this instinctual mindset, I can help create the best possible experience for all members. Thank you for your consideration
